“I first gained teaching experience through student teaching for third grade in Lemoore, and also as a substitute in Riverdale for Grades PreK–12. From 2017–2020, I volunteered as a Bible study teacher.
Most recently, I received my Master's degree in Teaching in 2024.
St. Rose-McCarthy is a wonderful community. It feels like the dream job — to serve Christ while doing the very thing I love to do, which is to teach children.
Each year, I am always the most excited to get to know my students. I look forward to helping them grow in Christ and to learn how to think critically, independently — all while developing the skills they’ll need for the school year.
Every moment spent in the classroom is memorable. I love the “ah-ha” looks on the faces of my students when I teach them something academically important or something valuable about life. These little moments remind me the most of my contribution to the community, and how these young learners will grow to be the next leaders of their generation, in part, because of what I teach them.
When I am not working, I enjoy running, singing, learning how to cook, and playing with my dog, Hazel.”
